Woot! We are a go for stims - September 30th, 2011

Wow!  I can hardly believe it!  We are a go for stims!  Our doc wanted the E2 below 80, other clinics go with below 60 or even sometimes below 40.  Last week I was 158 and today I was 44!!!  So we are almost as low as the lowest clinic looks for!  So, starting tomorrow, we drop the Lupron to 5 ccs and use 2 vials of Bravelle morning and night.  Next appointment is next Wednesday morning.  Woohoo - off we go!

Thanks G!
Hi Toni, and welcome! Stims are the injectible medications that we infertility patients use to make multiple follicles grow. So far, I've been in the suppression phase, where he docs make my body stop producing certain hormones naturally so that they can take control of everything and make my body do what they want. For IVF, that is to make lots of good quality follicles, which result in mature eggs, which can be fertilized to make high-quality embryos. This is my second go-round with infertility, the first resulted in my now 16 month old daughter. Let me know if you'd like to chat about what you're experiencing or what questions you might have. I'm all ears!

pixnlil,

I am so happy for you, even though I don't know what any of those numbers mean. Hooray for blissful ignorance and modern science!

Hugs!

p.s. My verification word is "pugnests," which is what small blunt-nosed dogs build for their pups.
